Last F-TYPE Finds Home in Jaguar Heritage Collection Alongside E-Type Legend

In a poignant moment for automotive enthusiasts, Jaguar has marked the end of an era with the production of the final F-TYPE sports car. Coinciding with the 50-year anniversary of the last E-type rolling off the assembly line, this event serves as a symbolic passing of the torch, as Jaguar prepares to embrace an all-electric future from 2025.

The E-type, a true automotive icon, left an indelible mark on Jaguar's history and the automotive industry as a whole. Its sleek, curvaceous design and exceptional performance cemented its status as a timeless classic. Now, half a century later, the F-TYPE takes its rightful place as the modern embodiment of Jaguar's sports car lineage.

The final F-TYPE, a 5.0 litre V8 Convertible in a stunning Giola Green hue with a black roof and Tan Windsor leather interior, bears a striking resemblance to the last E-type Series III Convertible produced in 1974. This intentional homage serves as a fitting tribute, linking the past and present in a seamless continuum.

As the custodians of Jaguar's rich heritage, the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust (JDHT) will proudly welcome this final F-TYPE into its official collection. Alongside its iconic predecessor, the E-type, it will participate in a series of events and activities, allowing enthusiasts and admirers to witness these legends in action.

The journey of the F-TYPE, which debuted in 2013 as a convertible and later introduced a coupe variant, has been one of critical acclaim and admiration. From its inception, it captured the essence of Jaguar's sports car DNA, combining breathtaking design with exhilarating performance. In total, 87,731 F-TYPEs have been produced, a testament to its enduring appeal and the passion of its creators.

As Jaguar prepares to embark on a new chapter as an all-electric brand from 2025, the final F-TYPE serves as a bridge between the brand's illustrious past and its bold, innovative future. Rawdon Glover, Managing Director at Jaguar, emphasizes the company's commitment to remaining true to its founder's vision of being "future-facing, relevant and original."

The upcoming four-door electric GT promises to be a groundbreaking addition to Jaguar's lineup, showcasing the brand's unwavering dedication to pushing boundaries and redefining luxury in the electric era. While the F-TYPE and E-type will forever hold a special place in the hearts of enthusiasts, Jaguar's future is poised to be electrifying, both literally and figuratively.

As the final F-TYPE and E-type take their rightful places in the JDHT collection at Gaydon, alongside the last series XE, XF, and XF Sportbrake, they serve as a reminder of Jaguar's rich heritage and the boundless potential that lies ahead. The curtain may be closing on one chapter, but a new, exhilarating act is about to unfold, as Jaguar continues to inspire and captivate automotive enthusiasts worldwide.
