2021 Jaguar F-Pace vs. 2021 Audi Q7: The F-Pace Steps Forward With Style and Performance

The 2021 F-Pace is nothing less than a thrilling take on a modern luxury crossover. With new designs throughout, it just may be the most beautiful luxury sports SUV to date. Jaguar also adds updates to the Pivi Pro infotainment system, plenty of safety technologies, and powertrain options that rival top competitors.

A great way to illustrate the F-Pace is to compare it to the competition. Here, we line it up against the 2021 Audi Q7.

The 2021 Jaguar F-Pace edges out the Q7 in powertrain options and horsepower

The F-Pace offers four powertrains that deliver. The F-Pace S includes a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder that generates 246 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. The R-Dynamic S upgrades performance with the P340 engine that generates 335 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque. Before we introduce the final two engine lineups, let's see what the Audi Q7 offers.

The Q7 is presented in three trim levels that feature two powertrains. Available in the first two grades, the 45 TFSI consists of a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder that produces 248 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque, similar to the F-Pace S. The 55 TFSI engine upgrades capability that's also nearly identical to the R-Dynamic S. However, this is where the Audi Q7 starts to lose ground.

The F-Pace continues with one more powertrain available for the R-Dynamic S. The P400 engine steps up to 395 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque. This is more than anything in the non-S Q7 lineup offers.

The F-PACE SVR features the P550 engine with an exhilarating 550 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. Compared to the Audi's SQ7, that's 50 more horsepower.

The 2021 Jaguar F-Pace has an edge on price and more

The F-Pace S features a current base MSRP of $60,350, which is noticeably lower than the Q7's lowest MSRP of $67,950. That's a great savings, especially when the F-Pace has a style advantage and a similar engine. That also leaves plenty of room to customize your F-Pace before even matching the Q7's cost.

Subsequent models, including the F-Pace SVR, also have lower base MSRPs than the Q7/SQ7.
